Practice

Chop wood, carry water
Cook food, clean dishes,
Make an earnest earning,
and think no different of enlightenment
To practice wholeheartedly,
one must dwell utterly present,
To experience infinite joys,
one must see no difference in self and other.
I have seen the world high and wide,
I have seen it low and upfront,
I have seen it in busy cities and quiet parks,
and only learned that it perfectly perfect.
All beings one body- like one bright pearl
Endless blind passions- like a hungry bear
Dharma gates without number- like sweet honey
The way of the Buddha- like unending bliss.
To attain the Great way,
give up all preferences,
rejoice in each moment,
and shine your effortless compassion
