Silent Serving Retreat

The pen is mightier than sword, 
The mind is mightier than world, 
Awareness, Insight, and Equanimity
are the three faithful friends of joy. 

Mediting three hours, 
Cooking three hours, 
Cleaning three hours, 
I see the three precious jewels. 

The joyful life has three ingredients: 
Simplicity in Thought
Ease in Action
Equanimity in Being

This retreat land of Dharma, 
where all sit and meditate, 
where the Buddha's teachings echo, 
where people serve wholeheartedly, 
where birds, rabits and bees live in harmony
where sun shines the clear sky, 
where moon gently smiles with stars, 
There I abide with a blissed heart. 

We chant: 
May all be happy, 
May all be peaceful, 
May all see truth within, 
Part by Part, 
Piece by Piece, 
The entire body-mind
Dissolves into insight (vipassana)
