Zendo

11/16/2023
When I forget about myself,
I become the whole universe.
When I see no difference between
Self and other, my mind rests at ease.

Drifting clouds, I watch the sky,
Lied down under the shade of a cool tree,

My body dissolves in the itching grass,
But my mind rejoices at the scent of pine.

What is love but to be human?
What is hate but to be ignorant?
All beings wish to be free from suffering,
So why must I
 hold to irrelevant grudges.

One mind, One world, One moment,
The sage only taught one thing:
To leave all conceptions behind,
and let effortless compassion shine forth.

Shh, Quiet Zen center...
Listen to the mind within,
Nothing but critters.
